I’m writing this as I eat a piece of ice cream cake. Yup, it’s all about balance to me. This morning I drank this Winter Citrus Detox Juice and this afternoon I’m eating my weight in cake.
I’ve been wanting to try a detox juice for awhile now and January felt like the obviously perfect time to do it. Full discloser – I’m not doing a detox, nor would I EVER do a detox, but there’s nothing wrong with starting off the day with something ultra healthy and still delicious! And I feel pretty darn good!second third piece of cake, I’m still feeling pretty good about myself!
This juice is a perfect start to my busy morning. The citrus flavours and kick of ginger wakes up your senses. Turmeric is a great anti-inflammatory and I try to add it into my drinks and smoothies whenever I can! It’s a quick and easy way to get in your fruit AND bonus health benefits out of your morning drink. Win-win am I right?
This juice can be made ahead of time – just give it a quick stir and pour into your to-go glass before heading for work. Or drink it fast while you try to put your boots on as you’re holding your purse, work docs and a lunch bag that’s teeming with food because you’re deathly afraid of running out of snacks at work. Does anyone else get worried about that? I always pack extra food because I’m nervous that I’ll get hungry and there won’t be anything to eat….then what would I do!?!? And then I usually end up eating 2 days worth of food in 1 day. No wonder that top button on my jeans is working overtime! This is exactly why I need to be drinking this juice.
This juice definitely helps you feel like you can tackle your day, so I’m pretty excited for you guys to try it! It’s a great way to start your morning so go on and make this now. K thanks!
